Three-Fold Mission
Named for the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8, Bakos Project has a three-pronged mission. First, we mentor the next generation of Christian LGBTQ leaders. Second, we preserve the history of Christian sexual and gender miniorities. Third, we equip pastors and Christian leaders striving to create fully LGBTQ affirming spaces.

Are you Christian, LGBTQ, and in your 20s or 30s? Every year we mentor a select cohort of Bakos Fellows. If you love Jesus and have leadership abilities, apply to join our unique community of Christlike leaders!
Preserving history is a crucial task of the Church. Tradition matters. We are cultivating a historical archive of Christian sexual and gender minorities who have gone before us, as well as those who are making history today.
Are you a pastor or Christian leader who desires to see LGBTQ people fully integrated into the Church? Do you need tools for Christlike advocacy? Find peer support and resources.
Bakos is the name Ethiopian Christians gave to the Ethiopian eunuch, a sexual minority whose story is recounted in Scripture.
